New wheels - why?

And the answer is because the wheels are made from Carbon Fiber are 40-60% lighter than stock wheels, so they reduce a bike's Moment of Inertia (ie. less energy is required to start or stop the bike) and reduce the gyroscopic effect of the wheels. This changes the weight distribution throughout the wheel, something that is much more difficult to achieve with traditional metal wheels. Carbon fiber wheels are also stronger than traditional wheels.
